Earlier this week I read a small notice in the printed newspaper “Information” that didn’t make sense. It basically told that SIAD was demonstrating near the Danish State Department, and when 18 people with dental protection gear tried to join the demonstration the police arrested all of them for their own protection, and drove them off in a bus.

I was half laughing at this, why on Earth would the police act like that? And what was the real story? It wasn’t until yesterday when I came across the Danish blog Uriasposten, that I found the real story, and it was much different than what had been told in the newspapers and other media.

So here is the story, condensed…

How the story from the news bureau Ritzau became so distorted is unknown, although I and others have a pretty good guess, based on the political leaning of journalists in general and the systematic suppression of violence from leftwing terrorists, troublemakers and their sympathizers! And furthermore in some reports it was even suggested that the demonstrators were the perpetrators by beating innocent passing by people!

The Danish blogger behind Observant, contacted the police and got a different story:

“Here we have 18 people from the rightwing, they stand completely calm at Strandgade 56. There they are without any drame. The reason we proceed to arrest them is purely preventive [protective – ed]” states a central police source at Copenhagen police, Frank Reuter.

One journalist from Jyllands-Posten, Søren Munch finds the post in Uriasposten, and bravely enters the debate (kudos to him for that), unfortunately he starts out by confirming a lot of suspicions about journalists, by attacking spelling-mistakes and form and pays little attention to the content. But at least he tries, and seems to be learning a thing or two along the way. However, it doesn’t alter the fact that he doesn’t seem to grasp the fact that people who are in opposition to islam and the left-wing are in grave danger from leftwing terrorists, and thus very often needs to write psedonymously in blogs and other alternative media, as the mainstream news media, doesn’t understand, and doesn’t cover the violence perpetrated by radical leftwingers in this country, or even worse are in league with them! It defintely is an unpleasant truth, and not one to be proud of, but the first and foremost objective of any journalist worth his salt is to seek the truth, irregardless of whether it is pleasant or not. Not to be a spell-checker and keeper of form and then just to be a scribe dutifully transferring the news-flashes from the wire services into articles for their newspaper… Particularly not when the news flash, is as strange as this one… Why the hell would the police arrest people for wearing dental protection? It practically screams: HERE IS A BIGGER STORY… GO INVESTIGATE!, but sadly no, that is left to the people involved and the bloggers! The journalists can’t really be bothered to do their jobs, they are too complacent, and with a story that has their political enemies as victims, then those vile right-wingers must somehow be the perpetrators anyway, or else done something horrible so it was well-deserved. So little by little the right to assemble, the right of free speech and expressions are being eroded, because of complacency and paying more attention to form, political correctness and less to the real story and the implications on our democracy!

So sad, so sad… But fortunately there is someone who still holds the torch of freedom and democracy high, and that is the bloggers and a few politicians, but the mainstream are blissfully unaware that the democratic system is under heavy attack, and they are being kept in the dark about the matter.
